Personal Space = Well Recharged Self
Hari ini saya merasa super energized dan well recharged! Setelah bangun tidur, saya bersih-bersih kamar, lalu belanja bahan masakan di warung depan. Saya nggak pernah nyangka, jalan ke warung depan, berinteraksi sama tukang sayur sukses bikin mood bagus seharian. Saya mikir kenapa ngga dari dulu yaa masak? Ternyata hemat dan seru banget. Bikin happy! Nah momen kayak gini tuh semacam self-discovery bagi saya. Dari dulu saya memang nggak pernah masak sama sekali, karena di pikiran saya masak tuh repot, nggak praktis.. pokoknya ribet deh. Ternyata, setelah dicoba malah asik ya. Sehabis masak, saya self pampering; luluran, maskeran, ngeringin rambut, terus tidur deh. Bangun-bangun, saya ngerasa saya harus memaksimalkan hari Minggu ini dengan hal yang paling saya suka... apalagi kalau bukan grocery shopping sendirian! Berhubung kostan saya lokasinya dekat dengan Alfamidi Super, langsung deh saya ke sana dengan hati riang gembira. Saya bisa asik sendiri sampe lupa waktu kalau udah ke pasar swalayan dan drugstore.
Belakangan saya jarang sekali menikmati yang namanya slow weekend seperti ini (maap anaknya sok banyak acara). Mewah banget rasanya pas bangun tidur nggak usah mikir mau siap-siap pergi jam berapa, udah nyetrika baju / kerudung apa belum. I've got time on my hands! I'm so thankful for a slow weekend like this. It doesn't mean that I hate socializing and making plans though. Hari demi demi hari, kita udah ketemu orang di kantor; di jalan; ngumpul sama temen-temen, ngedate sama pacar. Tanpa disadari, kita kurang meluangkan waktu untuk diri sendiri. That's why keeping your personal space is indeed important.
I think it's very human when someone is suffering from social fatigue. You shouldn't feel bad about having time alone. Coba deh kalau diingat-ingat, kapan ya terakhir kali kita me-time tanpa adanya gangguan sedikitpun, without anyone invading your personal space? We hardly even think, or aware about it. Taking back your personal space is healthy. It's just something you should do every now and then to recharge your energy. If you're currently feeling socially exhausted, I think it's about time to disconnect from your surroundings for a while.
